Promise Not to Tell – Jennifer McMahon

Everyone loves a good mystery every now and then, right? I’m pretty much a scardy pants when it comes to anything and everything remotely mysterious, but figured I’d be a big girl and brave my lately book club selection, Promise Not to Tell.

Promise Not to Tell is a story of a friendship between two children that takes a terrifying turn when one of them is murdered. The story alternates between the time period when the murder takes place, and thirty years later, when an eerily similar murder takes place in the same woods where the first murder took place years ago.

I liked this book, overall. It was a little disturbing.  It kept me entertaining and turning the pages as the story progressed. I couldn’t put it down until I found out the identity of the murderer. I would recommend if you like mysteries and are looking for a pretty good one.
